Here are some questions we are asked frequently
-
In the initial appointment, I take a thorough history and perform assessments that are relevant to your injury. Following the assessment, I will educate you on the diagnosis, causative factors for the pain and provide a plan to get you back to your desired activity or day to day life. A written treatment plan outlining the above is then provided for you at the end of the appointment!
-
For the first appointment, I allow 45 mins to be able to thoroughly assess your biomechanics and presenting concern. Follow-up appointments are usually 30 mins.
-
As both a podiatrist and a high level athlete, I understand the physical demands that sport and everyday life can place on the body. While I provide treatment across all areas of podiatry, I have a special interest and strong understanding in knee, lower leg, foot and ankle injuries. Rehabilitation and strength is also an important aspect of my treatment.

Bring along any shoes you were frequently and medical reports such as x-ray reports or GP referrals.
-
No. You do not need a GP referral to come and see me!
-
Yes. If you have extras and podiatry cover you can claim our appointments and orthotics. I have a hicaps terminal on site so the claiming is done for you. We can also run quotes on the day if you are unsure of your cover.

“Sports” involves the other areas of our expertise that is outside of the podiatry field. During the last stage of healing where you are returning to your desired activity or sport and re-injury risk can be high. This is where we can provide return to running and sport programs so you don’t accidentally overdo it. This ensures that the recovery process of your injury is completed.
